I missed last week but back on the horse this week with some time looking at code ownership/exception routing, a lot of Cloudflare announcements (discounted Yubikeys, Turnstile, etc.), and the usual eclectic collection of tabs
The latest drop of open tabs comes from my phone and includes the answer to the question, "How does the Shazam algorithm work" which I spent too long in the pool considering.
Of course, just hours after posting about this idea on Wednesday, my laptop died taking with it all ~50 open tabs 😱 I'm still in mourning but, no fear, the march of the open tabs is endless so here's the first batch extracted from 47 open tabs:
I'm kinda well-known amongst colleagues for having far too many tabs open. It's a rare day that Safari hasn't shrunk all the tabs to just icons and made the tab bar scrollable.
Here's what it looks like as I write this post. You can see it's pretty bare right now 😇 since I had a little cleanup last Friday: And if you're traumatised by that, don't listen when I tell you that I need to close a tab to open a new tab on my iPhone because I've reached the limit of 500 open tabs.
One man's rubbish is…
Ok, here's what I'm thinking: each week I will dump the contents of my open Safari tabs, remove anything that's private or internal to work, and dump the links into a post here. No context, no commentary, no bar for quality. You get what you pay for in this thrift shop of links.
Here's the process for desktop Safari:
I can do the same for mobile Safari too but not sure I'll start straight away by dumping all 500 tabs
Most likely I'll start posting on Saturday mornings.
